Does wearing an under-wire bra increase a woman’s chance of being strike by lightning? If so, can going braless decrease the chance during lightning times?

There is no direct relation between an under-wire bra and being strike by lightning. Lightning is a natural phenomenom and will strike to earth due to the discharge of electrostatic, lightning will only strike the highest things available around that area because of enthophy theory. It is not going to go for the bra, but if u are lucky enough and u are in a very flat ground without anything beside you and you are the tallest at the area, you might be strike at the head rather than bra.

Cheers,

Allan

No, because it is not sticking out of you, as it were. It's no more risk than having a pocket full of change.

The electrical discharge from lightning is looking for the quickest way to earth, so on flat ground, a tall building, a tree, a person holding an umbrella, a random patch of earth are at decreasing risk in that order.

Nowadays most underwires are not made of metal anyway. If they are they are completely concealed by a plastic coating, rendering them non conductive.

Since more people are killed worldwide every year from rabid donkey bites than lightning you and your apparently sacred breasts should be safe...but let us know how this experiment turns out...your results should be striking...

Absolutely not. The under "wire" is made of plastic.
