How do you find the pricing on square footage? Say for example I want to find the price per square foot on a piece of plywood that is 5X9 priced at $30.95?

Multiply your length & width (5*9)= 45 sft.
Divide your cost by sft 30.95 /45 = .6878

Cost per sft = $.6878 on your example. Also as an fyi, plywood comes in a 4x8 sheet typically.

5x9 should be 45 square feet

$30.95 divided by 45sq ft = 69 cents a square foot.

5 ft x 9 ft = 45 ft2
$30.95 / 45 ft2 = 0.69 $/ft2

In this type of problem, replace the word "per" with "divided by".
