Big Lagoon State Park, in Pensacola, FL. It is absolutely beautiful. However, I'm sure there are other places that are just as wonderful. We went to the Florida Caverns in Mirriam and I'm sure that there are places there as well. A guide from the Caverns said that there is another park where they give glass bottom boat tours in a spring but I cannot for the life of me remember where.

You are coming at a perfect time for camping though, it's getting much cooler. :-)

There is a state park in the Destin area, with walking distance to the fabulous beaches.
Grayton Beach Recreational Area off highway 98, half way between Panama City and Fort Walton Beach. We have friends that motor home camp there.

Have fun.
