All Middle East regimes basically despise stability. If the times were stable, the people would realize how oppressed they are, and revolt.

Instead, they deflect hatred and thought through easy targets like Israel, the West, cartoons, yada yada.

People forget that Iranians are not Arabs. They are Persians. Persians and Arabs do not get along historically. Iran seeks, however, to re-capture the glory of the Persian Empire via the philosophy of Pan-Islamism, which is a bastardization of Pan-Arabism. Propping up puppets dependent on Iran for backing makes Iran the regional player.

Hitler and Stalin succeed because they manipulated the poverty of the people as a cause of Judaism and Western Ideals. They are copying that play-book.

Because they are largely Shia'a, and the rest of the Middle East is predominately Sunni/Wahabbi.
