The Rangers and Flyers went to a 13 round shootout recently. Should there be a rule for how many rounds shootout can last? Should it be declared a tie? Should there be another period? Just curious what hockey fans think.

I love the shootouts and they should go as long as they go. Someone is bound to score, and until then, the fans are going to be going NUTS!!!

A friend of mine went to the Caps/Rangers game when Malik won on that between-the-legs shot, and the fans were going crazy after every shot and every save.

I think overtime hockey in the playoffs can't be touched, but beyond that - shootouts should last as long as they do. :)

Thanks for the question!

Shootouts suck. I still can not believe the NHL went to them. whats wrong with a it ending in a tie? Two teams battle hard and it comes down to a shoot out? Its crap!

I would rather see my team lose than tie. You ever pay $100 per ticket and sit through a 0-0 game?

It sucks.

That's a great idea...I think there should be a limit to the shoot out and once its reached a tie occurs.

I think 13 rounds is a record and you probably won't see it again.

that's why they put the shut out in so they don't have ties anymore till the last one scores.

GO HABS GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
