Because the majority of people ask stupid questions, like this one. If you have a REAL and genuine question, then ask it. This was not designed to be a, "Should I go out with Tommy?" or "How do I get skinny" website. It was designed for better thinking than that. So don't be lazy. Do your own research. Then if all else fails, ask a specific question, seeking a specific answer.

Because the internet is the perfect place for people to act as rudely, irreverently, sarcastically, unintelligently (is that a word LOL) as they wish. Why? Because they get to hide behind the anonymity....
Most of these people would be FAR too cowardly to actually speak like this in person to people in the real world.

There is nothing easier in this world then being a jerk, some people lack the desire to make anyone around them feel good, or help them with a prob. With many this circulates down to their own severe insecurities, but It is quite possible too that many simply lack the intelectual capacity for a civilized conversation.

I have noticed that a lot of people are using this forum to annoy and insult people, this has a lot to do with the anonymity of the site and the fact that most of these people do nor have the B*lls to do something useful with their lives.
Ignore them.
As i was told by an old friend.
It is acceptable to let other people think you are stupid.
Don't open your mouth and prove the fact.

Some think of rudeness as some sort of comedy or other entertainment. I try not to be rude, but some questions are pointless and idiotic. Is this ringing a bell?

There are a lot of fancy versions of rude, but I'm a plain guy, so I just go with plain rude.

Yeah, I've seen a lot of aggresive behavior, rude remarks, racist remarks and sarcasm. Why do people even bother???

I see that as well. I think people are just trying to be witty and, of course, gain more points. I think it would be different if these questions were face-to-face.
