I think that is the problem with the NHS, politicians keep sticking their noses in.
i regularly have to go to a clinic at my hospital and the staff are really good.

It is the sworn role and duty of a politician to interfere and meddle with things they do not understand and no nothing about.
NHS, Coal, Steel, Shipbuilding, Water, Electricity, Mail, Police, Prisons, Education etc.
So they can take credit for their great achievements in the success attributed to their interference.
Unfortunately the public must pay for the incompetence of the politicians in higher taxes.
The politicians can then retire on index linked pensions after only 4 years work.(interference) and not bear responsibility for the mess they made, write a book, go on telly to give advice, get 20 Directorships in companies they gave favour to whilst in office.
I have convinced myself, I'm going to become a politician it sounds a great job.

Is that a trick question? They can't be stopped. They want to look good so meddle around with the NHS, then blame the other party for the problems that they originally created. Like the cleaning thing, the Tories outsourced it and then criticised Labour for poor cleaning standards. Buggers.

It was the politicians that made the huge numbers of chiefs that we have today.
When we paid for it it was cheaper where the only person who wasn't involved in healing was. The Lady Almoner.
Just like the whole of the 5,000,000 plus civil servants less than half work at the function the rest live on.
Its called Bureaucracy

Without the politicians the NHS wouldn't receive tax payers money so there would be no NHS!

Centralising services away from communities is very unwelcome. So yes, especially if it is this incompetent government.
