We are talking about Serbs (Serbians) from Serbia, ex SCG (Serbia and Monte *****). I once saw a movie where an American cop looked at some drunk Serbian and said :"Serbs, those crazy bastards." So I wanted to know what others think of us Serbians? Should I be ashamed of what I am? Well, whatever you say, I'm not gonna be ashamed.

I wholly admire them for having the balls to kick out the Kosovan gypsy scum.

It's a shame that the rest of the world couldn't just let them get on with it, because now the Kosovo pikeys have invaded our country.

This is what the Kosovans are like:- they get offered asylum here in the UK, but only the males arrive, leaving the females and children back at home. The males then scrounge benefits here, and go round in gangs intimidating the indigenous population, and committing petty crime.

I live in the town of Hastings, East Sussex, England.

A close friend of mine is Serbian: generally, I don't think people have much of an opinion at all, except for what they've heard on the news or read in the paper. The war with Albania is something nobody has forgotten: but I'm sure the rest of Europe is looking forward to welcoming Serbia (and Montenegro) into the EU.

They are great people; smart, hospitable, attractive (have you been to Banja Luka? Wow!)

...but, their government is an anchor on Bosnian society (we are talking Serbs, not Serbians, right?). Whether the Republika Srpska has a "right" to exist or not is irrelevant. The real issue is that a 3-way government is killing the development of BH.

It reminds me of the story of wise King Solomon and the baby - two women claimed to be the mother of the same child. King Solomon said he would cut the baby in half. One woman thought the solution was fair, the other immediately said the other woman could just have the baby in order to save the baby's life. Obviously, the 2nd woman was the real mother.

The point is that if Bosnian Serb politicians wanted to help BH, they would work together to create a central government that would move the country forward - there could still be separate 'states' like in the US, but one nation, one president. Instead the politicians want to hold on to the hope of annexing Bosnian land to Serbia...in other words, they don't care about BH, they want to chop the baby in half.

But that's the politicians...the people are great.

I have a neighbor who is Serbian. He regularly travels back to Serbia in order to visit his parents, who do not want to immigrate to the US. He is a nice guy, kind of shy with new people he meets, but is kind and gentle in many ways. He cares for animals on a small ranch and has a job driving a taxi.

Until I get the chance to meet someone, I don't usually carry an opinion of them. I have never met anyone who is Serbian, and the only thing I have to go on is what I have received from the media - and we ALL know how reliable that can be.....(dripping with sarcasm)

They don't. Too busy with our own troubles. I recall Serbs as being genocidal Nazi clones during the days after the breakup of the USSR, but I could be wrong.
