What is the most effective way to get rid of a mole that is in my front yard?

Cat is by far the easiest. My cats keep the moles under control, though they don't consume them - they leave them as special little presents for me to clean up.

Second, a mole trap works very well. It's not a catch and release trap, if that's a concern. It's a one way ride out of the yard.

I've had no luck with any of the electronic gadgets that supposedly drive moles away humanely. I think they're bogus.

Take milk cartons the plastic 2 gallon ones rinse them out good. Then put water with 3-4 cap fulls of bleach in them poke holes at the top of the plastic bottles so the smell can leak out and place them around your yard. Not only will this keep moles away it will keep dogs, cats, squirrels, rabbits and bugs off your garden. For some reason they cant stand the smell of bleach. Replace every 10 days or so. Vinager and water is also an alternative solution if you dont want to use bleach but it does not last as long you would have to replace every 4-5 days.

When I was growing up we had tons of them in our yard. I don't know if you want to do this, but my dad put a hose in one of the holes and just left it there on high. There were tons of them that came out running.

Get a cat. We had several gophers in our backyard, got a cat, gophers are gone!!!
