What is the best kind of hay to feed grass-fed only cattle?

I'm raising grass-fed cattle on my small farm for beef. Is there one kind of hay that's better than another?

I live in zone 4, in western Pennsylvania.

barley and rye and winter wheat all have high nutrients. I would check with your local extension center to make sure.
