I think you need a Londoner to explain. Cockney is a dialect spoken by Cockneys, to be a cockney you need to be born within the sound of St Mary le Bow which is in Cheapside not Bow.
People that come from the East London, and East Ham as suggested are not Cockneys and do not speak with a Cockney accent. They are East Londoners which is different.

To most people Londoners may sound the same but there are of course differences depending on which part of London you come from, the same as there are differences depending of which part of Liverpool, Birmingham, or Newcastle you come from

No. by definition your only a cockney if you were "born within the sound of bow bells". My understanding of that is, that your a cockney if you were born near a church in bow (the east end of London) with big loud bells. It was blown up during world war two. Accents in the uk change from mile to mile. In my opinion Birmingham being the worst and Manchester being the best.

Yorkshire is the most widespread dielect/accent in the England due to its massiveness! The Yorkshire Empire encompasses 95% of England, those bits not included were rejected due to inferior stock.

Scouce is the most widespread, not because it is the greatest spoken accent, it is just the widest spread cause as soon as the average Liverpudlian can save up a few pennies together they get on the first train from Lime Street with they Shell Suit and stolen stereo

I'm only joking

for the "most cockney" you can get, go to east london, somewhere near the docks as thats where it started out like east ham is a good example, its basically commen and has strange phrases like "apples and pears" which means - going down the stairs. maybe the plain london accent is the most widespread as they dont change the tone in their voice like people from birmingham (who always sound miserable) people from liverpool(who r very high pitched) etc (no offence to anyone from these areas)

watch losck stock and two smoking barrells or snatch or layer cake by Guy Richie. or alternatively football factory or the business. Danny Dyer has a good London accent, but cockney is a bit different but if you watch these films you'll catch on, especially lock stock.
I dunno what the most spread accent is.

It's horrible! Watch Eastenders!

All accents vary slightly. Even in the Black Country (where I am from), there are different variations of the accent.

BTW Black Country is NOT Birmingham!!
