Yes you should have no problems running without a battery
Its recomended that you take the battery out if you have it connected to main power for a long time.

If you mean, can the Laptop work without a battery installed.

Then the Answer is Yes. The laptop has no problem working without a battery as long as the power cord is constantly connected. The only reason you would want to do that is the fact that as soon as the laptop loses power, everything basically turns off.

Newer computers come with the sleep mode which activates as soon as you close the lid or lose power, which usually saves all your information; however, you still run the risk of losing anything you may have been working on.

So, Yes you can, just be careful.

Yes, a laptop can operate (if plugged in of course) without the battery. In fact, as part of the Dell battery recall, they are recommending that anyone with a recalled battery run their computer without the battery until it is replaced.

yes,you can.
but this is not recommended,because if suddenly the AC power disconnect,then it may hurt you laptop and your unsaved files/data will lost too.
so better work together with the battery...
