I believe that the Tigers will NEVER earn the respect they deserve. After beating the MIGHTY YANKEES, don't you think we deserve SOMETHING?! I mean they picked the Athletics over us, and were up 2-0, after we beat the A's, we better get our respect.
Detroit is the most hated on city in the WORLD.
Because of it's crime rate, it's hated by people..
And it's sports teams, I'm not sure why they're hated.
Let me take you back to 2004.
The Pistons win the World Championship. Detroit goes CRAZY! I turned on ESPN to see what respect we would get. When I turn it on, they're talking about how the great Lakers lost, not how the unexpected Pistons won.
This isn't a gift. They deserved that, just as the Tigers deserve every little thing they've earned all year. No team is saying "The tigers havent won in 19 years, let's give 'em a world series".
The Tigers earned this, and NO ONE should count them out. NO ONE!

I'm hoping that if the Tigers beat Oakland, they actually get the credit they deserve.
I felt like, after the Yankee series, all the coverage had to do with how the Yankees lost, and not with how the Tigers won. It's like the Tigers were handed a gift by the great Yankees, as if they didn't do anything to win it on their own.
Hopefully the Tigers get full credit for making the Series, if (or more likely when) that happens.

Their team logo is an olde english D.
They play in the American league of Major League Baseball (MLB).
They are currently in the playoffs and facing the Oakland Athletics, in the American League Champinship Series and holding a 2 to 0 lead in that series.
They beat the New York Yankees in the Divisional round of the playoffs after finnishing second in their division and qualifying for the "Wild Card" position in the playoffs.
