I did this one,..The bobbing for apples was real fun, as well as the hiding things in spaghetti and having them blind folded trying to figure out whats in there...I really can't remember what other games I know we had some pin the thing on something? and played scarey
music and had this one CD where they had to guess what the scarey sounds where.
For treats I made this one thing my kids never forgot; I bought those
cocktail wieners and almond slices, I soaked the almonds in red food coloring and then sliced a small cut in the top of the wieners and placed the almond in the cut and I swear they look just like little fingers my kids said they looked so gross they were scared to try them, I just placed them on a try and had a small bowl of bar-b-que sauce for dipping and placed three of the fingers sticking out of it and lined up more like going into the bowl

For our punch I made swamp juice with eyeballs
It was green juice from the store mixed with berry juice and sprite and I froze some in trays with blueberries in the middle to make it look like eyeballs were floating in it the color looks gross,
But it taste good, and sweet.

You can also make a grave yard fence out of wooden pop-cycle sticks and place it around a tray of french frys and cut grilled cheese sandwiches into tombstone shapes and write different things on them like R.I.P or names and stuff.
And deviled eggs but use food coloring to make red lines in the middle part to look like eyes and use olive slices for the eye center.

For dessert I made different cupcakes and some had bugs coming out others looked like spider tops with legs coming out and decorated sugar cookie's shaped like bats and pumpkins the cupcakes and cookies you can make two days ahead of time and your son can help you its a cool family thing to do we do that every year!
Its really the atmosphere that makes the party I had stuff decorated all through out the house and had bowls of popcorn with spiders and bugs sticking out little goblets you know the ones you can buy at the store with the skeleton fingers on it filled with different things like candy corn and chips with bugs or spider webs, just have fun with it and put spooky stuff where they wouldn't even think of like even in the bathroom!

Rent a fog machine, buy a couple of scary Halloween CDs from a party store, and have them playing. I would decorate really scary, look at a Halloween store for that. Everyone should dress up, including you. Maybe have a DJ? Have a Costume contest, and a lot of games. Oh, and have a Hay ride, and have people jump out at them.

It sounds simple, but bobbing for apples is an old time favorite and always a winner. Everyone loves to see their friends get a bit soaked.
Carve a lot of pumpkins and put them around. Have a scavenger hunt in your yard, or if you have a fruit tree orchard, you can hang wonderful things in the trees.
Costume competition would be interesting.
Be sure and enlist at least 3 of the parents for help before, during and after the party.
Lock up anything breakable in your bedroom.
Enjoy the kids before they grow up.

My daughter had a Halloween party at that age and she wanted to invite the "cool kids" plus her regular friends. What a disaster...I had 5 moms here and all those kids wanted to do is dirty dance and neck. We kept finding them in corners and trying to sneak upstairs. My daughter was so disappointed...she said she would never invite those "cool kids" again.

Ask your son what he thinks is cool and then do what he wants. It's amazing how little we remember about being 13 when we're old enough to have a 13 year old.

Depends on your kid: 13 year olds can still be up for a good time, but loads of them are arrogant to boot. Play it by ear and don't let the grown ups crowd them. Remember what you would have wanted? That's all he wants!

Go to the library and find the October/November issue of Taste of Home Magazine. It features some neat ideas.

It will be his worst as he is celebrating his birthday with Satan's and you as his parent is pushing him straight into Satan's hands instead of protecting him and showing him the truth.
DON'T DO IT. THERE IS MORE TO LIFE

MUCH DARKER - cause we act stupid and ignorant. Search the occult . The celebration of the birthday of Satan and the month of October the Satanist do a lot of human and animal sacrifices for the Devil's birthday. why do you think this months there are so many suicides, missing children and cats.
Go to Yahoo and type in "Occult" and go to "signs and symbols". You will find many answers there. remember to look t the videos on the man page and openlinks to look further

search and scratch - don't stop.

One thing I remember doing at a party was feeling gross things in a box/bowl. Like guts (spaghetti), dead hand (latex glove filled with sand), eyeballs (peeled grapes) and stuff like that. Kids tend to love those.

I googled "Halloween party" and came up with this site... http://www.kidspartyfun.com/pages/themes/halloween.html It seems to have good ideas. :)

Good luck with the party!!
