Open windows media player, then open an explorer window to show the songs files contained on the CD, highlight all the songs with the mouse, click and hold while dragging the songs with the mouse into a playlist in windows media player.

Media Player will automatically import the songs from the CD into your music library so you will no longer have to put the CD in your computer every time you want to listen to it. Media Player might also automatically convert the songs to wma files although I'm not sure.

All files are on CDs are always read only and can not be changed. This is how CDs work. You will need to copy the file off the CD and on to your hard drive, right click on the file and remove the Read Only property. Then you will be able to convert it on your hard drive. Once done, if you want it on CD you will have to burn a new one with the new file on it. You can not chance the file format on a CD.

A CD is a read-only device. So what you have to do is copy the file from the CD to your hard disk and then change the format on the hard disk.

You can't change a CD. You have to copy the files to the computer, convert them then save them to another CD
