1) the act of each living being is executed by his own free will but the final overall result of all actions of all living beings on Earth is predetermined.
2) So for every input you make from youself to the outside world, it is reciprocated by the overall reaction of the whole universe around you.
3) Moreover, regardless of this in the input output scenario there is a calcuated overal statistical result that will result no matter what each individual decides to do.
4) It is this overall result that is the predetermined nature of Universe but we are all free to exercise our wills and reap the fruits thereof.
May be it has already been said but I have not read this anywhere else.

Super BS .
You are right to the point. And here is the explanation.
To an extent the Free will is also dependant on circumstances created. The only Force that is eternal is our will to survive. Now, if there are nine bakers on your street, you will not aspire exercise your free will to become the tenth, so it is somewhat following what does not look acceptable in its entireity.

Mad max - on the face value yes.
But think the other way around. You cannot exercise your freewill if there is no calculated and predetermined cause - effect nature of the Non-Living Universe.

Here is some analysis:
Statement 2 is obvious but does not support your overall point: See:[1]

Now let's analyze 1,3,4:
So i am free to act but the FINAL result is predetermined.
Let's work with that.
Say F is the final state of the universe, and it is predetermined.
The obvious question is F-1second predetermined as well? If it is we will have a regress -- cutting out human freedom. If it is not then how many possible F-1's are there? What makes them ALL result in F? whys should MANY F-1 all result in F?
What is F anyway? Is it the Heat Death of the universe?[2] Why should there be a final state? What if the Universe is oscillating[3]?
This theory raises more questions that it answers.

So. what you are saying is that no matter what we as individuals do the world will just keep chugging along on some predetermined track.
What about those decisions made by people with power over others ie. Bush or that nut in North Korea?
Don't you think that there are those who do make decisions that change the world like the patent clerk wanting to be something more(E=mc^2), or the guy that leaves his candy bar to close to an experiment(microwave oven)?
If there are those who can change what is happening on Earth then isn't it possible for any one of us to do the same?
As to the Universe, I do not know what all is out there so how can I make predictions about what is really going on out there.
You have stated that, there are people who can force change at the personel level, then if, there are those who can force change at the world level I would have to say that there may be those who can do the same at the level of the Universe.

You are right Vinod, results are predetermined in principles, and yes there is a free will for action, action is not the creator of result but it discovers the result. In a simple way scientist is not the creator in the real sense but only discovers what is already there. So every discovery takes many action in that regard. To achieve certain results certain specific action are required, even for scientific purpose lab atmosphere is created only under which condition the results are achieved similarly universal environmental condition do influence some times the free will actions.

I think that your theory, while thought-provoking, does not take into consideration the virtually infinite number of variables brought into play.
I have a problem reconciling the two elements of your first postulate:
1a: the act of each living being is executed by his/her own free will
1b: the final overall result of all actions of all living beings on Earth (well, it would have to be "in the universe" instead) is predetermined.
Sorry, but those two statements seem, to me, at least, to be contradictory and, in fact, mutually exclusive.
How can a virtually infinite number of free-will actions
have a predetermined result?
You appear to be straying into mysticism (or faith) since the causes and the effect you've postulated don't go together logically.

In the universe humans are the only ones in duality.
Having a dualistic mind we perceive the nature of the universe the same.
Inference and projection.
Free will is nothing more than desire.
Choice is often made out of confusion especially psychological choices.
Cause and effect could be seen to be predetermined but is that a fact?
Death is of course predetermined in a sense, but then we would have to have a long debate on what death means to you, and what is it that dies?

We don't come (birth) into this world by choice nor do we leave (death) this world by choice. Many factors decide our span of life & the way we live it.Some % of it is in our own hands(purushartha) and the rest is fate/destiny(prarabdha)-woven by our own past deeds : Reactions of our own past actions bearing fruits(just like different trees taking their own time to bear fruits, with various factors influencing their growth)in this life early or later or in the next.
Just as some trees bear fruits very fast ,some take months ,some may even take years (many factors go into it - the type of seed ,the soil ,availability of water, sunlight etc); its the same with actions .
Some actions bear instantenous results some hours ,some weeks ,some months, some years ,some even a life time & some even more lifetimes. Many factors go into it.
We can with our free will change our fate to an extent.

There seems to be a contradiction.

Suppose that a number of people, each in virtu of their own free will, decide to act so that the sum of their act makes the balance tip in one direction other than the predetermined overall stuff. In order to make the balance tip back toward the equilibrium which corrspond to the universe general direction, there will need to be people acting in the other direction -- other than that in which the first group acted. This means that people who are not in the first group are not free to act, they are bound to act in a way that ensures equilibrium.

Ur question stopped me to check, when did i post it ?
but as an answer, i came to a kind of understanding about this.
See, if u agree:
Suppose we enter an examination hall,
there we answer according to our merits.
We get results as we score.
Now, suppose the examiners have fixed a percentage of marks
like, full marks, pass marks, distinction etc.,
now, it is upto them how much they allot us,
but it is upto us, how far we impress them.
so, in this logic, there is a set of rules prevalent in this universe,
acc. to that, we score up as far as we can obey, maintain, understand and stand them.

There can be no "free will" within the concept of "predetermination".
