On the "speed dating" reality show "Next", has anyone seen an episode where there is a girl looking for another girl to date?

I’ve seen a whole crap-load of episodes where a gay is looking to date an even more-flaming gay, but we've never seen an episode of the reverse. We don't watch it regularly, just whenever it's on and we're surfing the channels.

I think there are two reasons:

1 Most individuals featured on this show fall in the 18-20yr old category, there aren't too many "open" lesbians at that age. Most lesbians "come out" when they are older.

2) Gay relationships are more widely accepted gender wide. What I mean by this is that the gay lifestyle is more easily accepted by both girls and guys than a lesbian lifestyle. Us guys can get along with a show with a gay guy (Will & Grace), but most straight women would prefer not to see a show that features a blatant/flaming lesbian character- let alone a dating show that has lesbians all over each other.

Your thoughts?

Lesbians tend to Next people within the first sight. However there was this one that just nexted everyone and said a few sentences to the last one and then chose her within two minutes. This girl won by just $2.
I've seen a few gay guys who also do the same thing. Though they're not fussy about who they get. The lesbians are almost always fat women, sleezy sluts, exotic ethnics. While for the gays guys are rarely any of those, and it's almost always predictable as to whom they'll choose.

FYI: Next is only on MTV as far as I know. (That's all I've seen it on).

I don't watch "Next," but I did see a two-girl set-up on "Blind Date" a few years back. I disagree with your observations in as much as: (1)- young women seem to be experimenting with other girls much more often and more openly than ever before, and (2)- my observation has been that lesbianism is much more accepted than male homosexuality, if only because so many Neanderthal guys who would happily crush a gay man's skull will beg to watch two chicks make out.
(Personally, if I had two women, I would rather have them both working on me!)

Actually YES, I have seen an episode with a girl looking to date another girl.....but they were not "butch-type" girls either....the girls were in their twenties as well....I think that the guys ARE more comfortable with being who they are than the girls are, you're right, but many a time, I have seen two girls on the bus hook up when they're waiting for their turn with the guy to happen as wel...gues it depends on which day you tune in, but it DOES happen....there are more bi-sexual women out there who are willing to share that on national t.v., than the actual lesbian ones...

I totall agree, but society must realize that being a lesbien is wrong. The show "Next" also has gay guys competing for that spot also. Really, what is the purpose of this show? To show that there is no creativity in america anymore? Reality TV is fine, but don't you get tired of real life already?
With "Will & Grace" I was able to accept the gay lifestyles of others, however, I still disapprove. This show created the humor in living a lesbien lifestyle. The creativity of this show is great!

Honestly I'd rather watch it when the gay's are on. It's more funny. I am so serious. I know being homosexual is wrong, but I still like the show Next.

I have seen one NEXT show with a girl looking for a girl. However, your points were very true.
