It's normal, even for adults. The normal, healthy adult attention span is really only about 20 minutes. So anyone who is still talking after that point, any meetings that last any longer than that...all will be tuned out to some extent. And that's for NORMAL situatuions. The length of time a normal person will concentrate on someone or something that is a complete yawnfest is even shorter.

Completely normal! As you grow older you acquire the ability to shut your ears down and go into the blocking mode of mute. You begin this talent when you become a parent of your first child and they get in the whining stage. It only takes a short time to learn how to go into mute mode. Once you have learned this ability, your mind will wonder to other places and you won't feel sleepy.
At my age, I am an expert in this field.
