I don't want to lose my job if they find out I am pregnant and I don't know what to do. I can't starve myself it could hurt my baby plus when I get hungry i start getting nasuase, is it twins or why am I gaining weight so quickly I don't over eat, and I always have light dinners, I have gained 6 lbs already.

It's against the law for you to lose your job because you're pregnant. Please don't start to get hang-ups about your weight - you're pregnant - you're supposed to get bigger.

Well it depends on your style of clothing. Make a change. The new fashion today is long sweaters w/ a belt.
So if you can pull off the new fashion then do so.

Try to eat more healthy. Watch what you eat, sounds like this is the first time you 've actual gained weight. So you eating a little more is making you gain faster. Reason being is because your hormones are changing.

Everytime you are hungry eat an apple oe something small & light. Eating 6-10 Small meals will make your metabolism a little faster but good for the baby.

Go to Kohl's if you have one in your area. They have great clothes that are inexpensive.

Good Luck and be happy!

6 weeks is too early to show, your are suffering the wonderful bloated belly LOL...its a hormonal thing and should either stop pretty soon or at least slow down considerably (of course the rest of you will soon catch up)!!

I totally understand your position with the pregnancy and work as I used to work for an employment agency and we constantly had to replace pregnant workers. Yes its illegal BUT when an employee is a temp, there is no obligation for employers to keep that person on and especially so when they are considering that same temp for a future permanent position.

Change the style of your clothing over time....rocking up to work all of a sudden in baggy clothing is a dead giveaway. Begin wearing baby doll type tops with a unbuttoned jacket now....alternate with your usual skinny clothes. Go shopping and find some complimentary black suits...avoid plain shirts/blouses and go for printed patterns or shirts with ruffles. Keep your jacket unbuttoned.

Its horrible when you have to play these games but to lose your job now when you need the cash most would be worse.

And I just have to say.....work your a_ss off girl, make yourself indispensable. Take on extra work. Soften those employers up for the big announcement by which time they will wonder how they can help to get you back to work as soon as possible.

Good luck!!

Honestly, if they let you go because you are pregnant, is that the type of company you want to work for?? Be proud you are expecting, it is a wonderful time! My sis is pregnant with twins also and at 14 weeks she is going into maternity clothes. you will be right about there in January- so maybe you should just go to them and be up front. Fact is, if you are a good employee(good enough for them to consider hiring you) then they may just be willing to keep you on and get 6 or 7 more months of work from you and see how it goes. Be up front, tell them and be happy. If they do not like it, then maybe it was not meant to be. Take care.

People, she said she is working for a temp agency and wants to be hired on by the company, that is very different than working at a company and being scared of getting fired for being pregnant.
It is quite likely that the company will not want to hire her if they think shes pregnant because that would mean they will lose their new employee real soon.
Right now you're just getting fat while the body prepares for the pregnancy. Unless you hint it to them, they will just assume you're gaining weight. I got real chubby as soon as I got pregnant and then by 4 months I slimmed down and the round belly started showing. You can hide it til about 4 or 5 months and they will just think you're getting chubby.

First of all CONGRADS. Your body just wants everyone to know what hard work that it is going through. Why would you want to work for a company that you feel that you need to hide your pregnancy from. If you pan on returning back to work after the baby is born then you need to try to find a family friendly company.
Nausea is just a unfriendly thing that us pregnant women get cursed with sometimes. About your clothes try to go to a maternity store and try on alot of different styles and brands and pick the ones that are not maternity looking but yet give your body room to grow. GOOD LUCK

Wear loose clothing, at worst they'll think you are just gaining weight. They can't fire you because you are pregnant. That's discrimination. You don't have to tell them you are pregnant right away unless they have a certain policy. Most women don't start telling people besides their man that they are pg untill after 12 weeks because of the risk of miscarriage. Don't fret. They can deny you a job because you are pg unless the job is contraindicated during pregnancy. Such as those that require you to lift very heavy things. It doesn't sound like you have that kind of job though.

I think it is all in your head, you usually don't start showing until 3 or 4 months pregnant. And you're just 6 weeks. Eat like you usually do, and if you have gained 6lbs already then that has to do with you not the baby.

Everyone is different so I would not worry about the weight gain in the slightest bit and please don't eat less cause you are worried about this. The baby needs all the nutrition he/she can get. I just had my son 3 months ago and did not have to buy one piece of maternity clothing because the style out right now is the flowing long shirts. Just don’t wear anything that will cling to your body. Shirts that start to flow from under your bust line and go out are best, that is all I wore. Congrats!!!

Go up to the next pant size or switch to things that have elastic. Don't wear maternity tops yet they're so obvious. Switch to shirts that are a little looser and don't cling to the stomach area. Layer your shirt with a jacket/blazer or open button up shirt. The lines of the open jacket will break up the view and make it harder to tell that your belly is growing. I hid my pregnancy at work for a good 4 1/2 - 5 months...My boss shuns pregnant women, and I was trying to wait until he retired.

at 6 weeks your feeling gas and bloating which causes the tummy to swell. its not the baby as the baby is like the size of a pea right now. Theres really nothing you can do except wear bigger clothes but Im sure that once you do tell them they will count back the time and see that you were being deceitful and then your work place may end up being hell because they may not appreciate your keeping that from them.
