If your IQ is 125, then you're slightly above average. However, I would take the IQ test scores with a grain of salt. It really depends on the questions asked. Some are skewed toward a certain ability and not necessarily a true measure of intelligence.

The average IQ is supposed to be 100 so you are above average. Don't let those tests get to your head though. Having a high IQ and using your intelligence wisely and effectively are two different things.
P.S. I tested at 139 but I know that there are plenty of people higher than that and I also know that I have a long way to go to become what I expect of myself. I often feel like a beginner when I should feel like an experienced person, whatever that is.

William James Sidis was said to be the most intelligent human to ever live. His IQ was between 250 and 300. 85 to 115 is average. 75 retarded 125 to 134 gifted ,145 up genius .I was tested when a social program was trying to find funds for me to go to college ironically i should have failed the test. I am 136 and glad it's not higher. I don't even believe in the validity of the tests anyway. A true test should give consistent results. But the score can change as much as 10 points on any given attempt. And you can study to change your score. But your IQ is constant. there is an m behind the t on the link below there was no room to put it.

I agree! It is 25pts above what is called Average. IQ has an average score of 100 with a standard deviation of 15 (unless that changed). IQ is not as important as people think. I do not know why there is such a big deal about how high someones IQ is. It is but one measure of how intelligent a person is. My IQ is around a 118 and I am a graduate student and, hopefully, soon to be a published writer! I do not consider myself smarter than others. I have intelligence and know how to use it which makes me smart. I would say you should be comfortable in your IQ. It says you have the potential to do the things you want to do if you apply yourself in the right ways.

If you did an on-line IQ test then the result is seriously flawed.
Originally, "IQ" tests were created to be able to identify children who might need special education due to their retarded mental development.
A true measure of your "IQ" can only be gauged by performing an in-depth test such as the Wechsler which would take about 3 hours and should be preformed with a health care worker skilled in the field.
If you took a recognized test and scored 120 then you would be considered "Bright Normal" as is 16 % of the population. This places you at the low end of the upper 25% of the entire population.
"IQ" tests aren't normally age sensitive.

you are smart. Do not let yourself down because you think it is low. I have an IQ of 90... that's average for me... so you are going to be smarter and flexible than anyone else. You are a super person to have that IQ. You have the world in your hand so don't be afraid to use your brain.

two people with the same IQ... the one with better social skills will be more successful.... so you have a brain now work on being a social butterfly... motivation also is taken into account.... Intelligence or motivation.... the latter is the greater determining factor

It's above average. In my daughter's grade school 125 or above was the criterion to be in the gifted and talented program.
