I dunno there are a few....
1) One - U2 (for the lyrics) (the song without mary I hasten to add)
2)Grace - Jeff Buckley (for the level of genius, and the complexty of his music, and innovation).
3) Love - by John Lennon (sums up the subject matter, in a beautiful way)
To be honest there is so much to chose from I don't think you could have a 'best' song of all time.
