No, it is usually really busy becaause the calls are routed in one right after another. But, on the positive side, you can sit there and do what ever you want while you talk. I used to knit while I was on the phone...lol

GOD NO! I worked in a call center for 5 years and it was very stressful. Talking to one nasty screaming customer after another is not what I call relaxing.

my wife used to work at a call center for bank of america. She got nothing but calls from people who don't know how to keep a check-register wanting know why the bank was charging them overdraft fees. They got pissed at her for not waving the fees they incurred by being morons which are to lazy to do some math. Try explaining to an angry person how and why the mistake is their fault. It is not what I would call relaxing.

No it's not. How do I know that? I worked in one for a year.

While there are some very nice clients that will call in, it's the ones that are really nasty that get to you. I don't know about you but I can't stand when someone who doesn't eben know me calls me names just because they are not getting what they want.

It might be good to gain some customer service experience, but definetely not for a ong term job.

Trust me, there is a reason why call centers have a high turn over rate.

Relaxing in the same way that Novocaine is relaxing. It numbs the brain entirely with a heavy dose of pain... :)

I do not consider it relaxing. Calls just keep coming in...When people call in sick, it only gets worse! But the time goes by quickly!!!
