Well, if you live alone , then that would be you.

If there are others at home, and you care about who reads it first then make a schedule.

We for example, do it this way...........Sometimes when my husb brings the paper home, he gets the section he wants to read and leaves the rest on the table. Most of the time he wants the sports section, which I dont care for but my two teenagers do. When my husb is done , or whoever is done with a specific section he will put it back and then it's a first come first serve basis. So no one fights ,we all take our turns, and that's that. With us it's really not an issue. There are more important things to worry about than something as simple as the newspaper.

Peace.

I am the one who always goes and buys the paper, since I get up first. We usually share the paper, but since I went to get it I get to read the front page first. So I would say if you went to go get it you should get to choose.

This is a big issue in my house. I buy the papers in college as I can get them for half price yet I believe my parents should read them first as I buy them for them.
Now I get my favourite magazine everyweek and I have to read it first or else there will be war

If you want to be a selfless, giving, generous person, then don't make an issue of it. Insisting that you read the paper you bought before anyone else can is selfish.
