No way! I'm planning on doing the same thing, because I've had a change in my major. My friend is 21 and he's still taking 1st year courses (for the third year in a row...)
It really doesn't matter what age you graduate at, as long as you're happy doing what you're doing when you do graduate. You can switch, or change, drop out, start late, WHATEVER. Just make sure you're doing something you like, and not just pushed into something because you feel you might be getting to old to switch now, and "I'm almost done, might as well stick with something I hate."
Take your time, enjoy life, really think about what you're doing, and do well at it. Better to graduate late doing something you absolutly love, as opposed to graduating "on time" (no such thing) and doing something you hate.

Isn't it better to be a 24 year college graduate than a 24 year without a degree?

Most people graduate when they are 22. You're fine.. I graduated when I was 27.. changing majors, working, etc.

If you chose not to go to college at all because people will think you are a loser for graduating so late, then you may be a loser.

Oh sweetheart! Twenty is so young! And you know what? I took two years off after high school before going to college and when I did enroll, I found myself "ready" for it so I took it so much more seriously, I was more mature, it meant more to me than had I gone right after high school (two years of working full time will do that to you ;), and I knew what career I wanted to pursue. Look at all the advantages of going to school a bit later -- you're in a great spot right now -- jump in with both feet and enjoy it!

PS I eventually graduated with my masters -- when I was 29 :)

You are not a loser! You should be proud. It took me 16 years on and off until I recieved my degree. I just graduated this past May at the age of 34 with my Bachelor's Degree!

Of course not!!! You're not a loser just because you'll graduate when you are 24. And who cares about what people think about you anyway.
=D

Big picture: both my mom and stepmom went back to school (undergrad) after the age of 35 and took longer than 4 years to finish because they were working.

I tell everyone I can how incredibly proud of them I am.

Even if you start next year and finish in 8 years, you are still way ahead of the many people who don't stick with school or who don't do it at all.

Hang in there!
