I am 28 years old. I have had 3 children. I had a miscarriage 2 years ago. And since then I have not been able to get pregnant. I hadd an ultrasound and all was fine. The doctor tested my hormone levels and all was fine. My periods are irregular now since the miscarriage as well when before they were every 28 days now they are between 24 and 28. I am pretty down right now because I have no idea whats going on.

I said I have had 3 children but that doesn't mean I have 3 with me. The hardest thing in the world to do is to bury a child. The 2 that are with me I treasure every day. Now having fertility issues makes everything even harder.

Your periods are not irregular. That is about right for a women on her 28 day cycle. You would be irregular if your period was anywhere from 28-45days each month. For some women it takes them a lot longer to conceive the next child and for some it comes very easy. It doesn't necessarily mean that something is wrong with you. I am also your age and have been TTC for 6 months now and nothing. God work in mysterious ways and when He is ready he will bless us with another child. You were checked out and nothing is wrong with you... I too was checked out and nothing wrong with me... i am healthy and the Dr told me just to let mother nature takes its course. in time it will happen. I have faith and hope because without them i would have nothing... Please do not give up faith and hope. Things will happen in time!

In any given month if you do everything perfectly, you still only have a 25% of getting pregnant. With everything involved in the process, it's a wonder the human race hasn't gone extinct!

Questions:
When your hormone levels were checked, they told you they were normal. Did they tell you if they were flipped, which would indicate PCOS? Mine were completely in the normal range, but the one that was suppose to be higher, was lower then the other (which led to my diagnosis of PCOS).

If your hormone levels were fine and you don't have PCOS, then is it possible your tubes are blocked? Ask your doctor to order an HSG to check your tubes.

If your periods are irregular, maybe you aren't ovulating. Check by buying a box of ovulation predictor kits and seeing if/when you are ovulating.

Finally....have your husband's sperm count checked. If he has been particularly seditary or has started working out excessively his sperm count and quality could have suffered.

If it's been less then a year, then don't freak out too much. But, if it has been a year or more, go to your OBGyn and tell them you want an answer.

Stop trying. I don't mean that in a bad way either. I tried to get pregnant for 2 years with my husband and we even started talking about fertility, however we said we would wait and stoped counting the days and all that other good stuff and sure enough that is when I got pregnant. Once we stopped trying so hard it just kinda happened for us and now I have a healthy 9 month old little boy.

......... go get a book called Taking Charge of your fertility by Toni Weschler
This book will help you with all of your menstrual and conception questions. It’s for all women - not just women trying to conceive. It covers everything from temperature to mucus checking, etc.. It will help you understand your body and all the myths about it. It will help you time when you are ovulating and the best times to conceive – or not! It tells you how to figure out your cycle and what to expect. My husband and I tried for a year to conceive and nothing happened. The first month I used the book we conceived right away. Now I am due Feb 2. It's about knowing your body and knowing when you are fertile or not. You can pick and choose what you do with your info. Good luck and don't listen the all the myths!

First, I would go to your OBGYN and explain to him/her that your concerned about your irregular periods. They may be able to start you on a med. that can help you get your periods back to normal. Then after you start getting back on track you can start trying again, sometimes when you have a miscarriage your body needs time to heal and get back on track. Every women's body is different.

Don't give up , your still young and if for what ever reason down the road, you still can not conceive, look at it like this : God has already blessed you with 3 beautiful children and not everyone can say that.

To get pregnant you must have sex on a day that your eggs are being released.

After the 3rd day from the day that menses started put a thermometer into your mouth and check your body temperature every morning before you start turning in bed. The best time is at about 4 a.m. Maintain a chart. You will find that on one day the body temperature drops from 1/2 degree to one degree. This is the day that your eggs are being released. If you want to get pregnant this is the day that you must have sex. Tell your husband to ejaculate on his inward thrust so that the sperms will shoot deep inside.

After having sex you must stay in bed for about 30 mins with your knees bent up with a pillow under your buttocks so that the sperms will not pour out - to enable them to travel up.

Get your husband to save his sperms in the testacles for at least 3 days before sex to enable them to mature well to do their job.

I would say just relax and start using ovulation tests. I too have had issues since my 2 miscarraiges and the ovulation test really helps pin point when I am ovulating.

Good Luck!

stop trying so hard, you could be putting your body is some stress which makes it hard to function. just calm down, get a massage, go to the hair salon or whatever. keep up with your diet (because the body needs nutrients to function correctly) and exercise. then continue to mate with your partner and in due time you can become pregnant

Have you had an HSG x ray test thing to see if your tubes are open, maybe there's a blockage.
