That depends how much coffee you drink. The key word is Moderation and your ok. That also goes with beer too. Unless you have heart problem already, I say don't drink anything with caffeine or you will increase the risk of getting a heat attack as what the doctors say in their research. They also say at least 2 cups of coffee is good for you which does some good things to your body, that I don't remember what it was. Tea on the other hand is also good, but has a much higher content of caffeine than coffee.

If you watch the news on a regular basis, you will see once every six months a new report comes out saying that coffee is good for you because of (fill in the blank) .. 6 months later a new study shows that coffee is bad for you because of (fill in the blank). It goes back and forth all the time. If you enjoy coffee, drink it. If not, don't drink it. Good Luck! :)

Well, as laurali said..tea is good for you. if you can handle the taste that is. I like some, but that wasn't your question. My doctor is always telling me to drink less coffee because my blood pressure is a hair high. he says it's safe to drink two cups a day if I keep drinking caffinated..but then says I can drink as much as I want if I drink Decaf. I don't need the caffiene, but Decaf just tastes different. Anyway, to answer your question..yes drinking too much coffee is bad for you, and drinking a little coffee a day has no health benefits for you. Like how doctors will tell you that a glass of red wine a day is good for your heart for whatever reason..well..drinking coffee doesn't benefit anything but your energy level. Goto a local GNC fitness store if you have one and ask one of their "gurus" about good tasting teas to replace your coffee. They have teas that speed up your metabolic rate to help you lose weight..teas that taste pretty good with the caffiene you need to wake you up..teas with no caffiene that taste pretty good..teas that help blood flow..the list goes on and on. Good luck kicking the coffee if you try it though..as for me I'm going to go grab another cup :)

Oh yeah, the guy that said 1000 liters of coffee a day was right..since 1000 liters is over 300 gallons. if you drank 300 plus gallons a day..that would be bad. Gotta love the quality of answers you get on here sometimes..haha

It's ok as long as you don't drink too much. I know some people that they have to have their coffee all day long, and I think they are some of the most jittery people I know. But as long as you drink it in moderation like with alcohol, it should be fine.

It depends on what health guru you are listening to, but anything to excess is bad for you.

Yes but more than 2 cups is not as healthy and it is not the coffe that is bad but what we put into it that harms us.

Only if it's decaffeinated. Caffeine can give you the jitters and keep you awake at night.
