We mutilate ourselves in various ways and we mutilate nature also, don't forget we also trim hedges and cut back trees.
Cows and horses eat grass and the only hope nature has, in the long term, is that we wipe ourselves out in such a way that it can recover.
It got over the dinosaurs violent extinction so there is hope for the planet, if not for ourselves.

Only problem is, it would be all weird and misshapen, asymmetrical and strange with pink and red patches all different lengths and choppy. and when you touch it...it would let out with a soft, lilting sigh...
