Travelling is my hobby, and I love to trawl the internet for places to visit, and to read about places I have seen.
I also love to save images from various countries to Favourites, but I wonder now if the system will get clogged as these scenes accumulate, and if this will eventually slow down the system?
System capicity is 60 GB and 1024 MB.

Images are being saved to Favourites rather than hard drive.

Are you saving the images to your hard drive or just saving them in favourites so you can go back to the image on a website?

If you are storing them on your hard drive, you'll obviously use up disk space. The more disk space in use, the greater likelihood of the files becoming fragmented across the disk. This will mean that they take slightly longer to open - but the difference will be so slight you won't notice it. The only time its going to really effect performance is if your disk gets so full there's less than 1.5 x RAM left on your disk - in your case, about 1.5GB

If you are simply saving a "pointer" to a website in your Favourites, this will mean your favourites list grows very big. Your Favourites are actually stored in a file, but each entry takes up only a very very small amount of space and won't effect performance.

Inevitably it will but you have a decent spec laptop there so as long as you are not storing a lot of games etc it should be a long time before it slows down significantly. If you are only storing these files then it will take ages on a 60 gig drive.
