Do y'all think Australia is a real country like our country is or is a make believe place like the moon is?

We are doing a project in class about a country called Australia. My teacher said it was 'down under'
I dug a REALLY deep hole in my garden but I didn't see no country.
I think Australia is a hoax!! Is my teacher lying??

Like I have neva seen it and the CIA made up the moon. So I think they made up Australia too

You must be an American Neocon listening to Pat Robinson as your teacher. It's the land down under the Equator for the Stoned Head that must be another Neocon educated by Jerry Falwell.

"CIA made up the moon"... LOL ... how can you say that rubbish when you yourself already seen it loads of times, I don't think you need any proof that moon exists!

Anyway... Australia exists, jeez look at map it will stare back at you why it's called the land down under. Beside that you'll get tons of information about Australia, it's a country and at the same time a continent. You should do more research about that country.

Dig deeper you might discover some fossil, but I doubt you'll see any country.

I hope you're not that thick... 0____0'

Actually Australia is a movie set where a lot of great films were made. Indeed I think it might be where they filmed the fake moonlanding, back in the day.) The dead give away is 'The Wizard of Oz.'
Get it? Oztralia??

It is really sad what they are teaching American youths today. But there is nothing you can do about it. Just play along, 'act' as if you believe in it and then remember all the little facts about it that your teacher wants you learn. There is a good chance that she is a cyborg created to look for dissidents to turn in. Later when you have graduated you can go underground (that's another key, underground and downunder, get it?) you can go underground and join sleeper cells that spread the word of truth (like I did) to the unsuspecting and under educated peoples of the world.

Wizard of Oz(tralia) my Az!

I'm living there now. If it doesn't exist, does that mean USA doesn't exist as well? It's called Down Under simply because it's the only western country to exist entirely below the equator belt, so far away from all the other western countries, and where asian lands are. It's a beautiful country, with wonderful wildlife conservation projects going on at all times. Does the late Crocodile Hunter, Steve Irwin, ring a bell?

well the truth is australia was part of of the land of other contenents but within time the plates moved according to geographical and scientifical facts so australia's land went further and further until it becama an isolated place but it could never be like the moon because scientific explanations proved it by experiments, methods and arguments

Just about the best country on earth (and I'm not even a citizen). On the other hand, the CIA did make up Texas.

I'm not sure which is sadder:

1.) The possibility that you're really as dumb as some of your questions make you seem, or

2.) The probability that you believe you're being clever and/or funny with these questions.

But I'm voting for #2.

Hmmm, interesting...

You don't write like someone who's still in grade school but, yet, you are asking a grade-school question. The answer is YES! Australia really does exist whether you have seen it or not. It's like gravity, understand? Don't need to see it to know it's there. LOL

It's a magical world, with crocodile hunters, didgeridoo's, funky animals that hop called kangaroos, and people that say magical words like "Gi'day mate"
It's true, I've met many a traveler in London who claims to have been there. They call themselves "Antipodeans".
