i received answers that don't explain me, i mean, what means tart girl in Glasgow?
My gf was in erasmus at the glasgow university and i saw some pictures in her laptop, modified by some glasgow friends whit things written on paint and near her there was tart girl, is a good or a bad thing?

A tart, used as an insult, is not nice, but if the person laughs when using it then it is a fun thing.
My OH calls me a tart for trying to seduce him all the time, but he loves it really and it is a term of endearment

Tart ...so if some one is called a tart she is perceived to sleep around, wear clothes that are revealing and flirt a lot with men. Or it could be used as just a general insult. other words with similar meaning are slag/s.l.u.t.
But like any insult words it can be used by friends as banter like "you silly tart!" the word tart is a female word, so if a man is referred to a a tart its usually done if he wears loads of hair gel and is quite vain and after the ladies!
Tart yourself up..sometimes people say they will get tarted up, generally this is if they are going for a night out and are referring to putting make-up on and doing their hair.
Its quite hard to narrow it down for you as some people are quite relaxed about the harshness of some words. Usually it is how a word is said that indicates whether it is meant to be hurtful or not.
If your girlfriends friends have written tart girl, it could just be a friendly nickname for some reason or her friends might not be good friends at all!

the word "tart" is normally degrading ones personality or the way that person acts, its not a nice thing to say to someone unless you want to offend them
