The ground work is still being laid. The process of totally stripping us of our rights will be a gradual one.

Are you aware of the Colorado man that exercised his right to free speech, only to be arrested for assault against Cheney? See Denver Post article.

The man is now suing both Cheney and the arresting Secret Service officer that arrested him. The outcome of this will tell all.

Oh yes!..The rest of the world has been sitting back watching all this in the USA in amazement!..What is even more astounding is how the 'media' has actually covered all this up so very succesfully, and been allowed to get away with it!..Try looking at the 'news' you get on Iraq, then have a look at what the rest of the world gets!..Americans are not being told anything 'they' dont want you to know!..talk about the mushroom treatment!..BUT!..there are still some elements of 'free media' in the USA 'they' have been unable to silence, mostly it occurs now on the internet!..'They havnt been able to stop it..yet!..But 'they' will, and you wont even know, until its too late America!..

Do you even know what Habeas corpus is? look it up. MSNBC conveniently omitted the definition & pretends that it's something bigger than it is.

Have you read the bill of rights? If you have, then you wouldn't have posted this idiotic question. Listening blindly to some retarded newsman without doing your own research & using your own brain won't get you very far.

Feel free to move to Iraq or Iran if you want terrorists to have equal rights as US citizens on US soil. Then see how easy you have it. It's incredible to me that people believe that war criminals should be treated or tried NOT as war criminals. You'd probably be happy with a world court, too. Yeah, until you committed a crime & were subjected to the World Court's laws. Like they'd respect Habeas Corpus?! Do you think that if you committed a crime in Syria or Iran, they'd ask you questions before they chopped off your hand, or your head?

Stop acting like we're not at war.

Yes especially the first amendment. You'll recall how the Bush administration shut down Yahoo!Answers, because there was too much criticism of him there, and FAR too much free speech for his liking. Good riddance, I say!

Since Bush entered the White House, the American people enjoy fewer rights that prior to his election(!).

You cannot be serious. If that was even remotely true, you would not be able to speak out against anything (like you're doing now).

And YouTube is a great place for conspiracy theory crackpot videos. It is hardly "evidence" for anything.

Just because you disagree with the President is not a justification to lean on bogus accusations.

Yep, sure do, and the rabid ignorant Bush supporters will claim your a whack job, but it just goes to show you how much there paying attention. It's funny, Bush swore to uphold the Constitution, yet he's using terrorism to dismantle it.
