According to the constitution of the U.S.A. "all men are created equal". Then if I ask a paralyzed man in a wheel chair to jump why can't he then?

I was riding a rollar coaster recently and this overweight woman could not fit into the seats and had to wait for it to come back for her friends. SAD yes! BUT she did it to herself. Don't give me crap about "thyroid problem" because it only affects 2-5% of the overweight population. Why does the constitution mean then by all men are created equal?

Well, there we have it.

A fat woman who can't fit on a rollercoaster proves the American Constitution is wrong. I'm just amazed nobody worked this out sooner.

All men are obviously not created equal.

I would say asking a man in a wheel chair to jump is tanamount to being an idiot for pay.

I understand the question you pose because I do belive that there are certain instants that are not in my favor where "All men created equal should be applied. I.E. those nice parking spaces closest to the store. Why is it that handicapped persons want to be closer to the store than I yet they want me to treat them as equals. If they were my equal then they would walk just like I do.

What about the height limt at Disney the shorter you are the less you pay? That is unfair what if I am an adult and a dwarf?

ALL MEN CREATED EQUAL ONLY APPLIED TO THE FOUNDING FATHERS

“All men are created equal…” refers not to their physical conditions, but to their chances in life to get ahead. One man should not be held back than another may prosper. One man should not be discriminated against for reasons of race, creed, (color), or religion. At the time that the framers of the Constitution drafted that document, slavery was in full force across the newly proposed union. African men and women were the main staples of that industry, so color was not a factor written into the Constitution. Through the power of amendments, that gross negligence has been corrected.

Still, life is not fair. It was never a fair proposition. Christians state that it is all God’s will…that hardly seems fair. Muslims leave it all to Allah (same God as I understand it), so that isn’t too fair for us. A man of philosophy (Socrates) noted that all we are is dust in the wind…not much control on our part either.

So we need to quit whining about whether or not life is fair, and make the most of it for ourselves: manipulate that over which we have control, let go of that over which we have no control, and take responsibility for all that we do. No matter your religion or philosophy, that is the best that we you can offer for this life.

When they are born the are all equal..the rest is up to them. Sometimes babies are born with deformities and that cause may be because of a gene in the parents or the mother was on drugs and whatever. So everyone is created equal, until its up to them completly and then they get fat. or paralyzed from a car accident/

The intent was to say that no person is of greater or lesser moral worth simply by virtue of being born into "status." (As opposed to the European societies where people of aristocratic birth were entitled to certain privileges just because they were "noble.") It doesn't mean that all are "the same," but that all are entitled to certain basic rights. The key word is "created." It doesn't say all ARE equal but that all are CREATED equal. What happens after that is up to us.

No, life is not fair! If life was fair, we would all have everything we need, we would never get sick, we wouldn't lose our loved ones, there would be no unhappy marriage, divoces or children living without parents. People would be happy instead of sad and worried. There would be no wars, no killers, no child molesters.

Nope! LIFE IS NOT FAIR!

I, for one, believe in the concept of reincarnation and that has set me free from expecting this life to be fair. If you think about it (as you already are) reincarnation explains so many things that IT MUST be true!

we are created equal, and we have a free will and if we use that free will to become something less than we are created to be then that shud not effect others who have use their free will rightly, so the obese person got what their own choices dictated

Life is not fair but God's plan is beyond the realm of our understanding. There is life beyond this one here on earth.
