In a nutshell, yes you will notice a marked improvement...although I would recommend taking it higher if possible. I leaped from 512Mb to 1.5Gb and was astounded by the difference.

I am a web designer too and can tell you that Macromedia and Adobe products are vastly improved by extra RAM.

However, the best way to get improved performance in Photoshop is to edit your preferences and raise the size of the photoshop swap file - let your hard drive take some of the strain.

Best of luck

It used to be that anything over 256 wouldnt make much of a difference, but that was 8 years ago!

This day and age, for ur web designing and internet RAM doesent really matter. But for gaming you will notice a HUGE difference in 512 to 1GB of RAM. 1GB is a must for anyone who wants to truly experience a game.

Yes. Hugh difference. It is the one thing recommended to do to improve a computer's performance. Being a laptop, I recommend that you purchase the additional memory from Acer. My experience with generic laptop memory has taught me it is better to pay the 10% more for the right memory then to go generic.

Adding more RAM will surely improve the speed of the computer but regular maintenance is more important than just adding RAM.

yes... you will eventually *feel* the difference, if you get what i mean... but if you're into gaming (and i mean those games that eat memory), then i suggest going higher :)
