My questions for you the public are, what are the main questions that a person asks you? What would be a smart reply? Please no rude comments. I havent had that many jobs. I just graduated college. Employers are seeking three things when interviewing applicants:

Experience (if experience is not required then they will assess your aptitude or likelihood of competantly performing duties),

Confidence (manner, oral and appearance) and;

Attitude (your work ethic, your willingness to learn and excel, your general demeanour since they want to make sure you will get along with themselves or other staff).

In regards to experience, practise selling yourself...you must stand out from the crowd. Use positive action words when describing yourself and your abilities. If you have little or no experience, state clearly that you have demonstrated an ability to learn new skills and concepts quickly and easily. Point out your strengths and if an employer asks the dreaded "Can you tell me your weaknesses" question...reply with a smile and "I cannot think of anything that would prevent me from performing this job well and to the best of my ability....if that doesnt fly try "I can be quite hard on myself, it aggravates me if I don't pick things up quickly!"......

Confidence: Sell yourself, act calm, curious and remember your manners at all times. Take your time to consider your answer...contrary to popular opinion this is a positive thing...managers regard a person who takes time to ensure that what he'she says is well thought out. Dress appropriately to the job you are applying for...if possible visit the job site ahead of the interview to check out the other employees dress code. Dress a few notches higher then this when you interview.

Attitude: Be sure to indicate that you have researched this position thoroughly and know what to expect. Say hello or nod to everyone in your vicinity, a consistant pleasant smile. Ask the person interviewing you questions about the job, when you do...speak like you are already picturing yourself in the role.

Based on the above, I've placed people into positions and felt very confident in doing so.....good luck to you!
