You're missing a word here. If you mean x is greater than or equal to AN element of the real numbers, then Q=R and the set is infinite.
If you mean x is greater than of equal to ALL elements of the real numbers, then Q={} and the set is empty (i.e. null set).

You want x such that it is greater than a given real number.
This set is infinite set. You can have infinite numbers greater than or equal to a given number.

There are several interpretations to what you wrote. In other words, it isn't written correctly.

1) Given a fixed real number y, Q={x:x>=y}=[y,+infty}. In this case, Q is infinite.

2) Q={x: there exists a real number y with x>=y}. In this case, Q=R is also infinite.

3) Q={x: x>=y for every real number y}. In this case, Q is empty.
