I mean, we have onformation on idividuals from about tens years ago. Aren't they supposed to get shredded? I cannot find out the length of time we are to have them, and then shred them. Thank you in advance for your help.

The length of retention depends on where your business is located. Depending on your business you might also have unique requirements, for example if you do any work with hazardous materials the rules change. You should consult your lawyer before you shred anything but the general rule is to retain records for six years from date of termination.
