Are you asking for some clues on how to go about an interview - if so I can help. Having just spent 2 days interviewing people for five new posts within my expanding department. Look smart when you attend, whatever the job this makes a good impression.

Main thing is to research the company you are going to for the interview - find out something about what they do. If it's not an obvious company that everyone knows then type the name into the internet and find out something, anything about them and their business. Express an interest in it. Ask a few questions about it so they know you have taken the trouble to look them up and understand their business.

Know exactly what it is that interested you in the job - dont mention money or living nearby, sound professional - no matter what the job, think about what you have got to offer the company - your skills and experience - even if it is not work based but based on an area in your life. If this is one of the first job interviews you have been to, then tell them you are looking for new experience to enable you to further your career in future. Think about what that might be they might ask you what you have in mind for a career in future.

Think about any training you might want that would help you to do the job and ask whether they would support this in any way or if you would have to do it in your own time and at your own expense - tell them you are prepared to if necessary (even if it's not strictly true - if you get the job, you can always tell them that you want to get used to the feel of the job before embarking on any external training).

Above all smile, even in you don't feel it. Don't talk too much but answer the questions to the point. If you're not sure of how to answer perhaps on how you would handle a situation should it arise, tell them you're not sure because you haven't had that experience in life but you would ask advice from someone more senior.

Think about your weakensses - you may be asked what your bad points are. Whatever you say - keep it to one bad point and think out how you have learned to deal with it ie you have a bad memory but you have learned to write everything down so you don't forget things. Make it relevant to the job you do.

By the way if the job is secretarial be prepared to do a test on your skills. Remeber they may ask you about confidentiality - this is vital to any organisation - say you would not divulge anything to any outisder. Mention data protection.

Obviously not all of this will apply to the job you want - you didnt say what it was - but I hope some of it helps.
