I can answer this one...I am a drop out!!

Looking back I was actually quite a good student with potential. However, I hit 15 years of age, started to work part-time at McDonalds and started to associate with a wider variety of people. I also discovered alcohol and socialising and decided that I would prefer to work to earn the money that would allow me to drink and party. The immaturity of youth blinded me to any thoughts of the future, I lived in the moment.

Teachers, my parents and family/friends did all they could to advise and discourage me from dropping out. I spurned all of them and felt aggravated that they were holding me back from 'having a good time'!!

Long story short, I did my party days, I'm thankful for them but regretful that I lost so much time as well. I've managed to excel in various careers since, based purely on hard work rather then educational qualifications but seriously wish that I had completed my studies nonetheless.

I was a senior who made straight A's, and I only need two credit to graduate, but I dropped out. I got married between my junior and senior years, and I moved from a very small school to a very large school. I had no friends, and I did not know how to make new friend. Being married made me a very small minority. I was so lonely, and I ate lunch in the bathroom stall every day. I skipped school and much as possible, so my homework piled up. I missed so many days that the school dropped me. I decided to do correspondance to get the two credits that I needed to graduate. I completed the correspondance, but the school would not give me the credits for those courses because I had not earned any in class credits.

Maybe because there are so many immature and arrogant kids in high school and they act so childish that some kids go to night school as a result. Or on the other hand maybe because there are so many bullys in high school ppl just get sick of going to school every day just to be bullied. No I am not a h.s. dropout just thinking of reasons why someone would be.

dont worry about being a drop out.... i am going all the way with education.... a phd..... the highest degree there is.... and there is nothing life has to offer me... so you should consider yourself lucky that you dropped out with so much time on your hands.... dont spend time making yourself miserable with education.
