Love this question because looking on beach is considered public, do it at work Sexual Harassment that is not the time or place to be doing it. but hey if you all want to let it show that is your decision after all you chose the clothes. Just don't get unruly about it if its off the beach.

That really has me curious too, they go parading round in their bikini tops on holiday or round a pool, you go into the changing room and they glare at each other when they are in their bras, must be the word underwear that has them freaking out and covering up, I had to laugh the other day in Marks and Sparks at a lady, she was trying so discreetly to look at bras but had a sale item bikini slung over her arm, she looked at me like I had two heads for just picking bras up and examining them, well I aren't going to buy one if I don't like the style or shape of it am I, goodness were all ladies and we need bras and what is the big deal.

I don't. I just had this conversation with a male roomie a while back. I strolled into the kitchen and pulled a bottle of Propel out of the fridge in a pair of boxers and my bra. He freaked out and told me to 'cover myself'. I told him it was the same as a bikini top and he certainly never complained about that. He just kind of sputtered a bit then yelled "NO IT'S NOT!"
Must be some weird undergarment fetish or something. ::shrug::

Don't know at all ~ I wonder the same thing. But if you get a decent answer can you forward it to me, I don't see a difference what so ever. Except maybe white bras cause there is more to see in white.

Personally, I think it is the environ where you observe, rather than wot you're looking at. ie a beach ok, outside a changing room...deemed pervy, but you are right, the same bits. In fact, far more tasteful in pretty underwear rather than say, beach or casualwear. We luv you's wotever you wearin!

There's a difference in the intent of the clothing. It's all about social conditioning.
I used to be a commercial photographer, years ago. I had one contract where I shot catalogs for a Lingerie company, and I was always puzzled by the behavior of the models. I had a dressing room in my studio, and they would get the first 'outfit' and go into the changing room, put it on, and return to the set, where I would photograph them. Then, the art director would hand them the next set, and they would *change clothes on the set*. Yep, buck nekkid, as it were. Then, when we were done with the shoot, they would go into the dressing room, close the door, and put on their street clothes.
I asked one of them about it, and she offered the best explanation I've ever encountered. "The ones I have on in front of the camera are just underwear. The ones I have on under my clothes when I come in are *my underwear*."
It's all about social conditioning and how we view our private space.

As a poor under the thumbnail hen-pecked fella who has had the MISSfortune to live his life surrounded by females in the ratio mostly of three o' them to one poor lil ol me, I see it this way. If they have a close relationship with you and are comfortable with your presence, then daughter sister and wife are quite unphased if I see them in their undies in our COMUNAL space. However woe betide him that wanders into their space (even if temporary) ( bathroom toilet, their bedroom) and spots them in their undies.
So it comes down to personal space and it's sanctity in my opinion.

I completely agree.
Plus, if you're going to wonder round with your bits hanging out you've got to expect people to look at you!

If any of us put the goods out to see we should expect to be looked at that was our intention.
