I dont want to use regular sugar or brown sugar. One knows of the dangers of using artificial sweeteners. What's the alternative?

Try stevia. My local healthfood store sells it and it comes in a lot of different flavors ranging from english toffee to chocolate raspberry to apricot. It's a little spendy but well worth the price. My favorite is cinnamon.

In my opinion, I would rather be fat and have the regular sugar than go through the stuff that artificial sweeteners do to you! God, anything from Gout (which my dad got b/c he drank only diet coke) to multiple sclerosis. I'm not gonna eat something that is gonna mess with my brain the way that stuff does! If you have rulled out both, I guess you just need to go un-sweet!

Use regular sugar. Unless you are diabetic this is the best sweetener.

saccarine is not the only other sweetener out there. Suggest you try Splenda, it is made from sugar alcohols, no calories, and completely natural.

Diabetes is usually treated through a combination of diet (low sugar), exercise and medications/insulin. Read here https://tr.im/jylFQ
Milder cases can be controlled with just diet an/or exercise while more severe cases require meds or insulin as well.

Honey is always a good sweetner, or why dont you just try reducing your intake gradually to no sweetner! it may take a bit of time, but better late than never. good luck sweety!
