I reckon that he should be in squad even if not in the team. I'm sure he hasn't become worse than SWP, Kieran Richardson, Michael Carrick overnight.

I would like to see Gerrard move in with lennon on the right and beckham as cover. I don't think richardson is good enough at all (Alex Ferguson thinks he's worse than Fletcher at Man U and that's saying something!). Carrick needs to prove himself at club level to win me over. I think lampard could learn a lesson from being dropped for a game or 2.

Problem with england is that too many players don't feel that they have to play for their places. With Beckham on the bench I think it would make others realise that they need to keep on proving they're good enough!

Free kicks, Crosses which are his speciality have all been poor without him while he is churning them out for Real Madrid.

Every striker loves to know they can make runs and expect a perfect cross from beckham. At the moment, all McClaren is singing is "play the ball wide". Maybe Terry Venables should whisper is his ear "play Becks, play Becks"

So any fool can see that there is more to his dismissal than McClaren wants to admit.

Give me a good reason why we should call Beckham back and I'll agree with you. Until then, I cannot think of anything he would do to help.

We need all our injured players back. Michael Owen, Joe Cole, Aaron Lennon, Owen Hargreaves, whoever else I might be missing...

I think Beckham's perfectly fine where he is. Real Madrid. Man Utd can still improve once they have better strategies and would probably hav a bettr chance of beating Chelsea. I don't like Chelsea. >:(

NO!!! Never!! Even if we did need him, he isn't even playing at Real, how could you know his form??

What we need is Lennon and Hargreave fit, pace up front, Lampard and Gerrard playing like they do for their clubs, a right full back who can actually attack, and no pitch diverts!!!

No.
Back in his day he was irreplaceable, his day has now gone, the rest of the payers need to show some commitment and start earning their money on the international stage.

....steve mclaren is an ***....in trying to stamp his authority he's left out the experience that beckham has..like cutting your nose off to spite your face...it seems.....he let him go to soon,,, in my humble opinion.... the england team needs someone like Martin O'neil to do the business for them....noshit....

no we don't we need lennon on the right gerrard and hargreaves in the middle and richardson on the left rooney and bent up front but big steve won't do this so we won't win anything. because he thinks lampard can do it but he can't
