when the government imposes additional tax it has an intention to increase income by reducing the number of consumers. so before judging the increment of tax it is better to realize the side effects of the crowd appeared in the night. Probably it may be difficult to the police to controll the wrong doers in the night than in the days time.

No, after taking a vacation/holidy across Europe this past summer, I feel sorry for Europeans. The governments tax the excrement out of people, making it more difficult for their own subjects/citizens to enjoy themselves. While its not the role of government to ensure the happiness of their subjects or citizens, putting up hinderances this arbitrarily should be such a common practice. I found it shocking that a pint of Guinness cost me more in Dublin than it cost me in the States!

It is ridiculess, but if you are a B&B and get paid in cash why bother recording it. How can it be collected.
Bad taxes are from bad governments to pay for their waste of public funds.
Look what happened in our old colony, we taxed the tea - we lost the colony. (USA)

It's outrageous. Chances are those guests will buy in local shops, or eat in local restaurants, or drink in local bars. It should not be allowed.
