Yes, it hurts worse than you can ever imagine. That's why I now prefer to wear closed-toe shoes whenever I go out.

No. I have, however had a 220-lb 6-8 guy in steel toed boots step on my feet while dancing the polka. I didn't do anything but whine and limp...and bleed! (I was wearing 4-inch heels, fur-lined clog-style shoes with about an inch of platform.)

different than the obtrusive ones of being stepped on, i think of the worst become as quickly as I wore flips flops with a plastic strap to a topic park and via the tip of the day, the strap had rubbed the webbing inbetween my super and 2d toe down so undesirable that it bled for like 3 hours. Ouchhh.
