I didn't but my mate came out of a toy shop with a model of a motorbike that was half the size of him! In a carrier bag he took in with him!

Last I heard of him he was doing 4 years for armed robbery!

I stole a few times as a kid. I was actually quite good at it. The normal stuff like makeup, music, magazines, etc.

Then, one day at 13 I got caught in Shoppers Drug Mart. I didn't get charged because my mother knew the manager, but I got the spanking of my dear life when I got home. We are talking Fuller clothes brush, pants down. I never did it again. Never sat for a while as well!

Dillards and Foleys didn't used to keep all their perfume locked up behind glass...I stole 85 dollar bottles of perfume/cologn. Got caught steeling sunglasses from Target, spent the night in jail and 6 months probation!! I was humilated and my father was sooooo disappointed. I never stole again and I got caught when I was 18 and had been stelling for about a year.

If you had been brought up my home you wouldn't have even considered it let alone do it, my father was a psychopath and thought nothing of hitting you with his big leather belt and usually the buckle end at that, can you imagine what would have happened if any of my brothers or sisters were caught shop lifting, neither can I that's why I never attempted it.

Two points.
I have always been human, so I have never been a small goat -and that is what a kid is.
If you mean "as a child", what makes you so sure that I shoplifted? Indeed, what makes you so sure that anybody shoplifted as a child?

I went into the store and took the candy and put it in my pocket. I didn't have any money to pay for the candy so that was why I stole. I was 13. I was thinking that if I was caught, I would tell them that I put it in my pocket by accident and forgot to pay for it and didn't realize it until I got home. When I got home, I was too embarassed to admit it.

sounds really silly but i used to get 'sugar paper' from the sweet shop at a penny a sheet, but instead of one I had two or three and only paid for one....sad I know! I think the shop keeper knew, but didn't say anything as he was good friends with my parents!!

I had a catalogue that I produced every wednesday, and then went "on the rob" for the specific items that my fellow pupils had picked out!

bad, bad boy I know, but I eventually got caught and learned my lesson

Never did. In fact I went back into a shop once when they undercharged me to point out the mistake

Just sweets. I was far too much of a wuss to go on to bigger jobs.
I would have been a very poor criminal. I knew that from an early age.
