In our society elders still cares for the inexperienced one. They know from their experiences that immature people think that they are mere friends but this friendship will very soon changes into some other foolish emotions. Go through questions of this forum and you will find so many teenager Romeo and Juliet. Our elder knows all this because they have gone through this stage and they are concerned about us, that we should not commit any mistake

I guess it's becoz our society will have something to gossip about. As long as U have not done anything wrong & your Parents Trust U. Who cares about the dam society. Take care of Yourself & don't fall into wrong trap. Not all guys are good. U have to miggle about to get to know the person otherwise how will U find out? I know what U r going though Coz thats what happened with me too. Until today I still get scared of everything. If only i had that little bit support. Because, that's the culture..
Indian people are not like americans, indian parents don't want their women to be disrespected by men..we indians don't run after boys and cheapen ourselves, which i can totally understand. no girls should be throwing yourself at boys.anyway and that's the american way..if you want to be friends ..that's ok i guess
Another thing indians are vey narrow minded...they don't want thier girls to go out into the world and have knowledge about boys and sex. well in my opinion,,,if you educate your kids and not make a big issue about boys and sex and be involved in their lives and talk about things very openly..that won't be a problem. Indian parents are strict and dont' talk about anything to thier kids..and that's a problem
girls are being protected by male raging hormones that cause nothing but trouble..girls are not ready for boys until they are mature enough to understand why boys are the way they are......I think it's good...girls from ages 11- 19 should be protected, they do it because they love you and care about what happens to you. But htey won't openly explain or talk about it to you... it's a tough age and girls are emotional and boys are sexual...it does not go together...girls want love and boys want sex...so ..wait i say...
wait till you are a mom and see how you feel about your daughters...i bet you will feel the same way..
but if you have parents who openly talk about sex and boy and other issues...i bet you would not be saying this...sounds like you don't have understanding parents..that;s too bad.

we r victim of a tradional society, where, people still don't believe that a girl may talk to a guy not only for 1 reason. these all r stupid traditions our elders have carried out, and we have to follow it, but situation is improving day by day, specially in metros.
