Glue traps are inhumane - the poor mouse is suffering and starving. There are traps that you can put cheese inside, and the mouse goes inside the box and then it releases the spring and traps him inside the box. Then you can take the box somewhere outside and release him. If you use poison, he will try to get out to get water, buy may not make it outside and then will die inside your house and you may not find him for a long time.

If you choose the cat route, remember females make the best mousers and THEY have to have learned it from theri mother!
It is some sort of learned behaviour and if the cat was fed cat food from birth, he or she may never be interested in mousing!

There are several methods available, including glue traps, standard spring traps (use peanut butter for bait in these), Decon mouse bait, and my favorite, warfin (because they eat it and then go outside looking for water to die)

get a cat. either sex will do because if you let them live inside they will protect their territory and kill the mouse that is invading it.
