in the first place it is better the essence of scientific knowledge. when a study or knowledge is supported by evidence and emperical experience or logically reasoned analytically we can say that it is scientific.

In this sense we can study political occurences and events based on emperical and anlytical method of inquiery. Based on findings it is possible to deduce scientifically the process of politcs . this makes the study of politics scientific

Politics is not a science as the same situation is never dealt with in the same way, (it has a human failing built in) there is no constant it is totally variable a bit like the Chaos Theory.
Politics is a means to achieve an end for megalomaniacs, or a planned end achieved by devious or any means.

The study of politica in itself is not a science!..You have to factor in too many 'randoms' for any sort of serious science to take place!..IE..factor the iq, of a politician, his religious beliefs, or lack of them, ulterior motives, party politics subject to change with out notice, There's lots more!..Heisenbughs "uncertainty principle" applys here!..The real science starts by studying the people in the organisations who CONTROL politics from without!..They make or break a politician, they direct the politician, they fund {and bribe} the politician, they work to a predictable end, most policy is directly made by them, they are linear in their thinking, there is generaly no dissent!..Thats where the real science of politics is!..

Though politics is considered a social science, there is nothing much scientific about it. It is more a practical subject than a scientific one!

I've never understood it. What does it mean, political science? It's all just a lot of hot air really. Only problem is that I think Socrates once said that "man is a political animal".
