Cholesterol is a big word. I lowered my cholesterol drasticlally by cutting out Red meat. Good cholesterol can be brought up by eating Fish Oil Pills, or eating fish that is high in fish oil. Cut out fatty foods, and eat less fatty red meat, eat boneless skinnless chicken breast, and eat lots of steamed vegetables, totally eliminate Butter, and margarine.

I do not really know, but many of the medications for lowering cholesterol give warnings about not to take it if you have liver problems, so get a blood test and see your doctor first.
I personally feel that with that warning that even if you do not have a liver problem you will end up with one after a few years.
