You could still get pregnant. It depends on what type of tubal ligation you had. If you just had a plastic ring placed on your fallopian tubes, it could move and allow the egg to still pass into the uterus or the sperm can make it into the tubes. You don't want to be pregnant and the egg is lodged in your tubes (Ectopic Pregnancy) can be fatal for you and the fetus. But if you had them clipped, tied and burned (like me) it's highly unlikely that you are. The best way to find out, GO TO THE DOCTOR!! .......Good Luck, and GO TO THE DOCTOR.

although you had your tubes sterilized several years back...you could unfortunately be carrying a child. the only sterilization i know of that is nearly flawless is to have the tubes cut and scarred shut with a modicem of distance put between the tube ends so that there is NO chance of the egg & sperm getting together my wife and Iopted for this idea because she suffers from a type of diabetes when she has gotten preg before. i know that i may have not been too supportive but this may help in the future

As a labour and delivery nurse I will tell you that you absolutely could be pregnant. I see woman all the time come in after having their tubes tied and are pregnant. It does not seem to matter what period of time it has been since they were tied. I wish you the best of luck and whatever happens I hope you are able to accept it.

if a tubal is going to fail it usually does so within the first year..if it was not done properly...or after 10 yrs....even if it was done properly .........no birth control is 100 percent......i did know a woman once who got pregnant after a tubal and she had even gone through treatment for cancer which is supposed to sterilize you too so you just never know do you.....although it would be very rare.

Its VERY unlikely, but not impossible. Unless you get the tubes removed, then you still have a chance of pregnancy.
