My ex and i have been broken up for a while but i wouldn't say we are friends. He occassional texts me, but mostly when he finds out i am dating someone and the texts are smart *** remarks about the person i am with, like making fun of that person. My ex is 22 years old and has a girlfriend and i do not text him making fun of her. So i don't get why he does this. Is it immaturity or jealousy?

Both. Guys are still tupid, just because they are guys. He knows he had a good thing, and doesn't want anyone else to have it, even if he is not with you. It may just be better to cut off all ties. You don't need that in your life.

Ive been in the same situation. My ex who i was together off and with for 4 years only texts me when he wants to know if im still with my current b/f or wants a little something. I finally got him to stop by telling him that if nothing is going to happen between us that will last that i want him to stop b/c he just brings back old feelings which is what i think they want. So im sure it is jealousy. But dont let him get to get to you b/c it will only hurt in the end.

Your Ex is messing with your head and YOU are allowing it to happen! He knows he still has some influence and power over you because you keep responding. The opposite of love is not hate, it's indifference. It sounds like a power and control trip to me and the only way to make it stop is to take away his power. Just stop responding. Change your cell phone number or block his number if possible. You don't need to "be friends" with someone who disrespects you like that anyway.

I think your both immature you due to, your still in contact with
him, and him due to being him, don't keep in contact with your ex
unless you have to, like kids, but other than that let's say

jealousy its so obvious that she's still wants to be ur bf despite of the fact the he has his own life now....
Anyway just show him that your not affected of all those words he's saying for you know what is true......
